Jesus tells us that 'where our treasure is, there our heart will be also' (Matthew 6:21). Our church budget reveals what we truly value. We’re aiming to be faithful stewards with what God has entrusted to us.
As we give money to our church, we’re saying that God is better than our money. As we invest the money in God’s work, we’re making decisions about what best aligns with God’s desires and plans as revealed in the Scriptures.
God doesn’t need our money, yet we can glorify him, as we invest resources in the command and promise of the Great Commission. The actual amounts given are secondary to faithfulness. God often works through our limitations. Opportunity motivates us more than needs.
We will all give an account to Jesus for how we’ve used the money he has entrusted us with. As a church, we’re aiming to be an excellent and attractive option for Christian givers, where we’re investing resources wisely and faithfully in Jesus’ Great Commission work.
